The industry’s first plasma table / notcher friendly sand truck tube chassis. This entire sand truck can be cut and built from plasma tables and notchers that are currently on the market making this the easiest to fabricate tube chassis play truck/sand buggy. The entire chassis consists of mitered tubes, no bends in this chassis to make it very easy for the home fabricator to build in his garage off the floor.

Fullsize (91+) - Setup for LS based platforms with 24” of front wheel travel and 32” rear.

***This product is a Digital Asset. You are purchasing the cutting files (DXF) for this component so that you can have these plates cut and bent (press) from a CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet machine.***

Fuel Cell – The ST1 is designed for the Jeepspeed cell from Jaz Products (286-432-06)

Front Suspension:

Everything in this Bulkhead Package can be cut from Mild Steel and MIG welded. Some clients cut them from 4130 Chromoly and TIG weld them but Stage 1 Components are designed to complement MIG welding.

All of the Arms, Uprights, and Bulkhead is designed in a simple “snap together” fashion for a very fabrication friendly setup.

Arm and Bulkhead Component Specs:

Bulkhead – All plate construction with 1/8” and uses sheetmetal weld washers for all bolt hole locations. Setup for the Howe 100 Rack this bulkhead is self-locating (snap together).

Lower Arm – Uses Standard Delrin Pivots on the chassis side available at Kartek.com along with 1” uni-ball bearings for the upright location.

Upper Arm – Uses 7/8” Rod ends with Standard Square receivers (bungs) from Kartek with the same 1” bearing for the upright as the lower arm.

Upright – Uses a Standard 12 bolt face plate available at either Camburg or Nextgen offroad. The spacers for the arms and steering are all standard from Kartek. Other options are available, please contact [email protected] for any questions regarding the front hub/upright combos.

Trackwidth – With standard hubs and SAND wheel/tires this setup is about 91.5” outside tire to outside tire. Different widths are possible with various hubs and offset wheels.

Shocks / Wheel Travel –

Fullsize is designed to run 14” stroke shocks side by side. Wheel travel is optimized at 24” usable, 25” metal to metal.

Bumpstops – Setup for standard bolt in poly bumps.

Steering Setup – This Bulkhead is designed for a Howe 101 Rack, the bulkhead will fit a variety of racks from HOWE that match the same pattern.(Custom options are Available, please contact JEH Consluting for Questions.)

Hubs and Brakes – This platform utilizes standard 12 bolt faceplates for a variety of bolt on hub options. Other options are available, contact JEHC.

Tires and Wheels – Depends on the hub setup you utilize but the uprights are optimized for 35-37” tires, either sand or buggy.

Bulkhead Rake – This setup is designed for 6-8 degrees of rake in the bulkhead. This means you will mount the setup at 6-8 degrees in the chassis.

Camber Curve – At Compression (Bump) this setup gains about 7 degrees of camber and at Extension (Droop) the setup stays decently straight.

Bumpsteer – Designed around the Howe 101 rack the bumpsteer is extremely minimal, unfortunately, there is no such thing as “zero bump steer”, no matter what you do it’s physically impossible to eliminate bump steer. Even though the bumpsteer is next to nothing in CAD, with tolerance stacking during fabrication you will most likely end up with a few millimeters of bumpsteer.

Rear Suspension:

Rear Shocks – All of the ST1 chassis setups are designed for 16” by 2.5” diameter coilovers and 18” by 3.5” (or smaller) bypass shocks.

Rear End – The ST1 comes with a fabricated 3.5” housing files from JEHC with the proper link, bump, and strap mounts.

Bumpstops – Setup for standard bolt in poly bumps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any bent tubes in this chassis or is it all straight cuts I can notch myself?

No bends at all — the whole thing is mitered tubes, so you can cut everything on a plasma table and notcher and build it right off your garage floor. That's the whole point of this design, to keep it doable for the home fabricator.

What engine and travel numbers is this chassis set up for?

This is the fullsize (91+) version set up for LS based platforms, with 24 inches of front wheel travel and 32 inches in the rear. If you're running something other than an LS, shoot us an email and we'll see what we can do.

What exactly do I get when I buy this — actual tubes or just the files?

You're buying the DXF cutting files only, not a physical chassis. You take those files and have the tubes cut and notched on a CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, then weld it all together yourself. Email us if you need a shop recommendation to get them cut.

How do I get the ST1 - Plasma Table Friendly SAND TRUCK TUBE CHASSIS after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the ST1 - Plasma Table Friendly SAND TRUCK TUBE CHASSIS cost?

The ST1 - Plasma Table Friendly SAND TRUCK TUBE CHASSIS is $7,500.00.

Who designs the ST1 - Plasma Table Friendly SAND TRUCK TUBE CHASSIS?

This ST1 - Plasma Table Friendly SAND TRUCK TUBE CHASSIS is brought to you by Tekk Consulting Inc. Other off-road and race fabrication designers in the DIY Off Road marketplace include All Co Metal Fab, Armada Engineering, Baja Customs, Baker Motorsports, BPforged, Brad Howard Welding and Fabrication, Christopher Reader, CRD, Deuling Design, Dirty BFabwerx, FDFabrication, Izzy Fab, JEH Consulting INC, JRTfab, Master Fab, Mc Will Manufacturing, OffroadCAD-Models and Superioroffroaddesigns. Where can I get cut files for Roller Chassis Assemblies From JEHC INC?

DIY Off Road has downloadable DXF cut files for Roller Chassis Assemblies From JEHC INC plus a ton of other off-road and race fabrication parts, all drawn up by real fab shops. Browse the Roller Chassis Assemblies From JEHC INC category, or shoot us an email and we will point you to the right files for your build.

Do you have Race/Play Chassis Components cut files for an off-road or race build?

Yeah — DIY Off Road carries downloadable DXF cut files across Race/Play Chassis Components, including Roller Chassis Assemblies From JEHC INC, all designed by working fab shops. Browse the Race/Play Chassis Components section or email us and we will help you track down the right files.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
