Buggy / Sand Truck Stage 1 - PTF - Bulkhead
Arm and Bulkhead Component Specs:
Bulkhead – All plate construction with 1/8” and uses sheetmetal weld washers for all bolt hole locations. Setup for the Howe 100 Rack this bulkhead is self-locating (snap together).
Lower Arm – Uses Standard Delrin Pivots on the chassis side along with 1” uni-ball bearings for the upright location.
Upper Arm – Uses 7/8” Rod ends with Standard Square receivers (bungs) with the same 1” bearing for the upright as the lower arm.
Upright – Uses a Standard 12 bolt face plate available on DIYoffroad.com or other suppliers. The spacers for the arms and steering are all standard.
Trackwidth – Multiple options available for the width, note that with JEHC after you order.
Shocks / Wheel Travel – These front ends are designed to fit shock packages up to 2.5” coilvoers with a 3.5” bypass.
Steering Setup – This Bulkhead is designed for a Howe 101 Rack, the bulkhead will fit a variety of racks from HOWE that match the same pattern.

Hubs and Brakes – This platform utilizes standard 12 bolt faceplates for a variety of bolt on hub options. Other options are available, contact [email protected]
Tires and Wheels – Depends on the hub setup you utilize but the uprights are optimized for 35-37” tires, either sand or buggy.
Bulkhead Rake – 6- 8 degrees of Rake

Plasma Table Friendly - This means that the component is designed with no bends, all flat plate. This makes the cutting and assembly very easy for anyone with a plasma table. Specific steps are required (follow the WPO) to ensure the strength is kept with this component.
The Stage 1 BUGGY/SAND TRUCK Bulkhead is the perfect starting point for your next tube chassis Buggy/ Sand Truck project or grafting onto and existing chassis. From two seat VB bugs to Fullsize 4 seat sand trucks these JEHC Bulkheads are designed to be fabrication friendly, taking the guess work out of complex suspension setup and geometry.
Stage 1 refers to the style of the components in this assembly, everything in this Bulkhead Package can be cut from Mild Steel and MIG welded. Some clients cut them from 4130 Chromoly and TIG weld them but Stage 1 Components are designed to complement MIG welding.
All of the Arms, Uprights, and Bulkhead is designed in a simple “snap together” fashion for a very fabrication friendly setup.
