These 60″ Off-set Shock Mount Boxed Link arms are the perfect start to a linked truck project, even for the beginner. The shock mounts are off-set to the rear of the link arm, the perfect link for those who want mount the shocks as far back as possible. Typically you will see these shocks used on crew-cab trucks. They are designed to be fabrication friendly with several options, from mild steel MIG welded to Chromoly 4130 TIG welded. You also have the option of running various front and rear pivot choices, the front (chassis) pivot can run a bushing assembly or a 1″ uni-ball bearing assembly. The rear pivot (housing side) can run either a race square pinch bolt bung or a standard threaded bung with jam nut.

Do these cut files come with the shock mounts and pivot ends already on them, or do I lay all that out myself?

The DXF files are the boxed link arm with the off-set shock mounts built in, designed to be fab-friendly. You pick your pivot setup from there — front can run a bushing or a 1" uni-ball, and the rear can run a race square pinch bolt bung or a standard threaded bung with jam nut.

Can I cut these out of chromoly or are they meant for mild steel?

Either works — they're designed to be run as mild steel MIG welded or chromoly 4130 TIG welded, so you can cut them from whichever your build calls for.

Will these work for a single cab or are they really just for crew cab trucks?

The shock mounts are off-set toward the rear so you can run the shocks as far back as possible, which is why you typically see these on crew-cab trucks. If you're running a different cab and not sure they'll work for your layout, shoot us an email and we'll help you sort it out.
