Either works. They're designed to be fabrication friendly, so you can run mild steel and MIG weld them, or step up to 4130 chromoly and TIG weld it for your build.
The front (chassis) pivot can run a bushing assembly or a 1" uni-ball bearing assembly. On the rear (housing side) you've got the choice of a race square pinch bolt bung or a standard threaded bung with a jam nut.
The shock mounts are off-set toward the rear of the link arm so you can mount the shocks as far back as possible. You'll typically see this setup on crew-cab trucks, and they're a solid starting point for a linked truck project even if you're newer to it.

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
