Frequently Asked Questions

Are these files set up for the 2008 Ranger only, or will they work on other year Rangers too?

The files are designed around the 2008 Ford Ranger bed. If you're running a different year, shoot us an email and we'll check whether this file lines up with your bed or if there's another one that fits your build.

Does this bed cage bolt in or do I have to weld it into the bed?

It's designed as a bolt-in bed cage, so no welding into the bed needed. Just keep in mind you're getting the DXF cut files here, not a finished cage.

Do these plates need to be bent after I cut them, or are they flat parts?

Some of these plates are meant to be cut and then press bent, so you'll want a press brake or a shop that can do the bends. If you don't have a way to bend them, email us and we can recommend a shop to cut and bend them for you.

How do I get the Ford Ranger - Bolt in Bed Cage after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the Ford Ranger - Bolt in Bed Cage cost?

The Ford Ranger - Bolt in Bed Cage is $250.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
