Where can I get CAD / DXF cut files for a tube chassis race truck?

DIY Off Road sells downloadable DXF/CAD cut files for race and play tube chassis — including front bulkheads, rear clips, Y-frame and roller chassis assemblies, link mounts, and motor plates — designed by professional off-road fabricators. Browse the Race/Play Tube Chassis category, or email us and we will help you find the right files for your build.

Who designs these race chassis and suspension parts, and can someone design a custom part for me?

Our files are created by experienced off-road fabrication shops and designers, including JEHC, Tekk Consulting, Baker Fabrication, Deuling Design, DBF, and JRT Fab. If you need a custom chassis, A-arm, trailing arm, or bracket designed, email us and we will connect you with the right designer.

Can you recommend a shop to cut and bend these parts for me to assemble?

Yes. If you do not have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, email us and we will send you a few recommended shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I receive my files, and what do I do with them?

After your payment is processed you receive a download link for the cut files (DXF). You — or a shop — cut them from steel on a CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend any pieces that require it, then weld them into your build following the included instructions. Nothing physical is shipped.

Do I need to know how to weld and fabricate to use these files?

Yes — these are cut files for DIY and professional fabrication. Many parts are "Plasma Table Friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you will need to cut and weld them into your project, or have a shop do it for you.
