Frequently Asked Questions

Does this mount fit right on a 3.0 axle tube or do I need to notch it?

Yep, this one's designed to mount off a 3.0" housing tube, so the plates are cut to wrap that diameter. You run the DXF on your plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend them on a press, then weld them onto your tube.

What's the 20 degree angle for and is there a straight version?

The 20 deg angle is built into the plates for upper links that mount off the housing tube at that angle. This file is specifically the angled 20 deg version with 6" height — if you need a different angle or height, shoot us an email and we'll see what other files we've got for your setup.

What thickness steel should I cut these plates from?

These come as DXF cut files so you can run them on whatever machine you've got, but we don't spec a set thickness in the file itself. Email us with your link and load setup and we can point you to what the designer recommends for this mount.

How do I get the 3.0" Tube 6" Height Upper Link Mount "Angled" (20 deg) after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the 3.0" Tube 6" Height Upper Link Mount "Angled" (20 deg) cost?

The 3.0" Tube 6" Height Upper Link Mount "Angled" (20 deg) is $9.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
