These plates are designed for use in fabricating roll cages in various project vehicles, ideally you cut them from .25” thick material and use 5/8” bolts for the mounting plates. The ideal way to use these is with two plates and tubes between them, so the plates sandwich a panel or floor section.

PTF (Plasma Table Friendly) - This means that the component is designed with little to no bends, mostly or all flat plate. This makes the cutting and assembly very easy for anyone with a plasma table. Specific steps are required (follow the WPO) to ensure the strength is kept with this component.

***This product is a Digital Asset. You are purchasing the cutting files (DXF) or Solid (CAD) files for this component so that you can have these plates cut and bent (press) from a CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet machine.***

Frequently Asked Questions

What thickness should I cut these plates from and what size bolts do they take?

Cut them from .25" thick material and use 5/8" bolts for the mounting plates. That's how they're designed to keep the strength.

How are these meant to mount into the cage?

The ideal setup is running two plates with your tubes between them, so the plates sandwich a panel or floor section. Just follow the WPO steps to keep the strength right.

Can I just run these on my plasma table or do they need bending?

Yep, these are Plasma Table Friendly with little to no bends, so they're basically all flat plate and easy to cut and assemble. You'll get the DXF (or CAD) files to run on a CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet.

How do I get the TUBE OVAL CAGE MOUNT PLATE after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the TUBE OVAL CAGE MOUNT PLATE cost?

The TUBE OVAL CAGE MOUNT PLATE is $3.00.

Do you have Mounts and Accessories cut files for an off-road or race build?

Yeah — DIY Off Road carries downloadable DXF cut files across Mounts and Accessories, including Cage Mount Plates, all designed by working fab shops. Browse the Mounts and Accessories section or email us and we will help you track down the right files.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
