Frequently Asked Questions

What size tube are these coped for, and what bolt do they take?

These are coped to sit clean on 1.5" round tube and they're set up for a 5/8" bolt. They drop right onto the tube with no fitting headaches since the cope is already in the file.

What thickness do I cut the plates from to keep the strength?

The plates and overlays are designed around 3/16" material. Just make sure you follow the WPO when you weld them up so you keep the strength in the mount.

Are these flat plate or do I need to bend anything before I run them on my plasma table?

They're PTF (plasma table friendly) with no bends at all, so it's all flat plate. Cut the DXF on your plasma, laser, or waterjet, then cope-mount and weld to your tube per the WPO.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
