Frequently Asked Questions

What file format do these scans come in, and can I pull suspension pickup points off them?

The scan mesh comes as a STEP file, and it includes critical geometry blocks so you can easily pull center points and relevant data for your design. These were built specifically for suspension part design and laying out a new tube chassis platform.

What's actually included in this pack for the Maverick R?

You get the rear arm, rear upright with brakes/hubs, toe link, radius rods, shock, and a scan of the chassis with the pickup points. Heads up though, the description is honest that the chassis scan is a decently "meh" scan, but it's got the pickup points you need.

Can I use this to design my own rear suspension and build a tube chassis around it?

Yep, that's exactly what it's for. This is the same pack the designers used to develop their MAV-R race car platforms, so it's geared toward suspension part design and dropping the geometry into a new tube chassis build.

How do I get the Rear Bulkhead Scan Pack - 2024 MAV-R after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the Rear Bulkhead Scan Pack - 2024 MAV-R cost?

The Rear Bulkhead Scan Pack - 2024 MAV-R is $800.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
