Frequently Asked Questions

Are these actual 3D scan files I can pull pickup points off of, or just DXF cut files?

These are 3D scan files, not cut files. You get a scan mesh in STEP format plus critical geometry blocks so you can pull center points and pickup geometry to design your own arms and bulkhead off of.

What all is included in this scan pack for the front of the MAV R?

You get the front lower arms, upper arms, sway bar arm, upright, coilovers (top and bottom), and a decent scan of the chassis with the pickup points. It's the same file pack used to develop tube chassis race car platforms for the R.

Can I use this to design a whole new front tube chassis, or just new arms?

Both. It's perfect for designing new arms/suspension up front, or for developing a full new front bulkhead / tube chassis car since it includes the chassis scan with the pickup points.

How do I get the Front Bulkhead Scan Pack - 2024 MAV-R after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the Front Bulkhead Scan Pack - 2024 MAV-R cost?

The Front Bulkhead Scan Pack - 2024 MAV-R is $800.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
