This scan Data is from a Ford 9" Stock Housing that measures about 60.35" from flange to flange.

This file is not ideal for designing a fabricated housing, you would want to also purchase "Ford 9″ Center Section with Housing Mock up Parts" part number 999-JEH-016 to have a nice fundamental base to design from. This scan file is perfect for drawing items like link mounts, tabs, and truss sections for the stock housing.

It comes as a scan mesh in STEP format along with critical geometry blocks so you can pull center points and relevant data. STEP opens in pretty much any solid modeling software, so you should be good to go.

Can I use this scan to design a fabricated 9" housing from scratch?
