Frequently Asked Questions

What steel should I cut these plates from for a rock racing build?

You can run these from mild steel or 4130 chromoly, your call. Mild welds easy with a MIG, or go chromoly and TIG it if you want to save weight.

Is this center section complete or do I need other parts to finish the housing?

This is just the center section cut files. To finish it out you'll want a backing truss and link mounts too, both available here on the site.

Does it fit a 10 inch ring gear and which side is the pinion offset?

Yep, it's got capacity for 10" ring gear sets and a 2" filler hole already pre-cut. The pinion is offset 1" to the passenger side, and the tubes end up the same length when you center the section in your chassis.

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
