Frequently Asked Questions

Will these upper arm files work on the 4x4 Silverado, or just the 2WD?

These are confirmed for the 99-06 GMT800 Silverado 1500 2WD only. If you're running a 4x4, shoot us an email and we'll see if there's another file set that fits your build.

Are these the only files I need or do they go with the rest of the long-travel kit?

These are the front upper arms out of the DBF Plasma Table Friendly Long Travel Kit, so they're meant to run as part of that whole kit. If you want the full setup we can point you to the rest of the kit files.

Since these are plasma table friendly, are they all flat plate or do I still need to bend anything?

They're designed plasma table friendly, meaning no or minimal bends, mostly flat plate to make cutting and assembly easy on a plasma table. Just make sure you follow the WPO when you weld them up so the strength stays where it needs to be.

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
