Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an actual 3D scan of the cab or just a rough model I can design around?

It's a real 3D scan of the 99-06 GMT800 ext cab from Izzy Fab, so you can pull accurate dimensions and design your cage, mounts, and brackets off the actual body. It comes as solid CAD, not DXF cut files, since it's meant for reference modeling.

What file format does this come in and how do I get it after I buy?

It's delivered in either STEP or XT format. After you check out, someone from DIY will reach out to ask which one you want, then we send that file over.

Will this scan work for the crew cab or the regular cab GMT800 too?

This one is scanned off the extended cab specifically, so it's confirmed for the ext cab body. If you're running a crew or reg cab, shoot us an email and we'll see if there's another scan that fits your build.

How do I get the 99-06 EXT CAB GMT800 Scan CAD File from IZZY FAB after I buy it?

How much does the 99-06 EXT CAB GMT800 Scan CAD File from IZZY FAB cost?

The 99-06 EXT CAB GMT800 Scan CAD File from IZZY FAB is $1,200.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
