Details

You can make professional grade bearing/bushing wrap plates with these custom designed press-die setups. These pivot plate presses are designed to be used in any standard hydraulic press, from the 20ton Harbor Fright press on up. Each pivot press is designed for a specific diameter of the component you are making wrap plates for. Each press is designed and tested to properly form up to 1/8" Chromoly (4130 material), thinner material is not a problem.

Are these DXF files or does an actual press die ship to me?

These are downloadable DXF cut files, not a physical part. After payment you get the DXF to run on your plasma, laser, or waterjet and build the press-die setup yourself.

Will this work in my 20 ton Harbor Freight press or do I need something bigger?

It's designed to work in any standard hydraulic press from a 20 ton Harbor Freight unit on up, so your press will be just fine.

What thickness material can I form with this setup for my wrap plates?

This press is designed and tested to properly form up to 1/8" chromoly (4130), and anything thinner than that is no problem at all. Just note it's set up specifically for 1.75" diameter components.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
