You can make professional grade bearing/bushing wrap plates with these custom designed press-die setups. These pivot plate presses are designed to be used in any standard hydraulic press, from the 20ton Harbor Fright press on up. Each pivot press is designed for a specific diameter of the component you are making wrap plates for. Each press is designed and tested to properly form up to 1/8" Chromoly (4130 material), thinner material is not a problem.

Are these DXF files or does an actual press tool ship to me?

These are downloadable DXF cut files for the press-die setup, not a physical part. You run them on your plasma, laser, or waterjet and weld/assemble the press dies yourself.

What size bearing or bushing is this press die actually set up for?

This one's designed specifically for a 1.5" bearing cup with a 3.375" diameter component. Each pivot press is built for one specific diameter, so if you're wrapping a different size, email us and we'll point you to the right file.

How thick of material can I form with these and does it work in a cheap shop press?

They're designed and tested to properly form up to 1/8" Chromoly (4130), and thinner material is no problem at all. They'll work in any standard hydraulic press, from a 20-ton Harbor Freight unit on up.
