These are made for 1" round tubing, so that's what they're guaranteed to fit. If you're running a different diameter, shoot us an email and we'll see if another guide in the lineup matches your tube size.

Is this a 3D print file I run myself or do I get a DXF to have cut?

This one lives in our 3D Printed Notch Guide category, so it's a downloadable file you print out for fish-mouthing your tube notches. After payment you get the file to download right away — no physical part ships.

Do I need anything else with this to actually notch my tube, or is the guide all there is to it?

The guide is the file you download and print to mark and guide your notch cut on 1" tube. You'll still supply your own tube and do the cutting/notching on your end, but this gets you a clean, repeatable fishmouth. Email us if you want help dialing in your setup.

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
