Frequently Asked Questions

What thickness steel should I cut these plates from to actually hold the weight of the XX with the drivetrain in?

These are DXF cut files, so you supply your own material when you run them on a plasma, laser, or waterjet. We don't list a specific thickness in the file, so shoot us an email and we'll point you to what's worked for this cart so it holds up the chassis safely.

Do any of these plates need to be bent in a press or do they all stay flat?

Some of these plates are designed to be bent in a press after cutting, which is why we offer both the DXF flat patterns and CAD files. If you don't have a press, email us and we can recommend a shop to cut and bend the parts for you.

Is this the same prep cart JEHC runs, or just something close to it?

Yep, this is the same cart JEHC INC uses for their AWD unlimited class platforms, so it lets you prep the whole chassis with suspension cycle included. After payment you just get the digital DXF/CAD files to have cut and built up.

How do I get the Wildcat XX Prep Cart - Cutfiles - DXF after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the Wildcat XX Prep Cart - Cutfiles - DXF cost?

The Wildcat XX Prep Cart - Cutfiles - DXF is $75.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
