Frequently Asked Questions

Are these notch guides sized for 1.75 round tube, and what's that 7.5 and 70 in the name mean?

Yep, these are set up for 1.75" round tubing. The numbers refer to the notch geometry, so if you're running 1.75" tube in your chassis these are the right guides for you.

Is this a 3D print file or a DXF I run on my plasma table?

These are 3D printable "potato chip" notch guides, so they're meant to be printed, not cut on a plasma table. You print the guide and use it to mark and notch your tube before you weld it in.

Will these work for notching tube at other angles besides what's listed, or just this one?

This file is set up for the specific tube size and angle in the part name. If you need a different angle or a different tube diameter for your build, shoot us an email and we'll see what other guide files we've got that'll work.

How do I get the 105-JLF-001-1.75-7.5-70 after I buy it?

These are digital — soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. Nothing physical ships.

How much does the 105-JLF-001-1.75-7.5-70 cost?

The 105-JLF-001-1.75-7.5-70 is $4.00.

Can you point me to a shop to get these cut and bent?

Yeah — if you don't have your own CNC plasma, laser, or waterjet, shoot us an email and we'll send over a few shops that can cut (and press/bend) the parts so you can weld them up.

How do I get the files, and what do I do with them?

Soon as your payment goes through you get a download link for the DXF cut files. You (or a shop) cut them from steel on a plasma, laser, or waterjet, bend whatever needs it, then weld them into your build. Nothing physical ships.

Do I need to know how to weld and fab to use these?

Yep — these are cut files for DIY and pro fabrication. A lot of the parts are "plasma table friendly" (flat plate, no bends) to make cutting and assembly easier, but you'll need to cut and weld them in yourself, or have a shop handle it.
